Scholatic Chess Clubs are here.
The Denver Chess Club is located at the Third Christian Reform Church at 2400 S. Ash, Denver, CO 80222 (map). The DCC meets each Tuesday from 6:30pm till the end of the rated games around 10:30. There is a rated 4 round tournament each month with a time control of G/70; d/05. When a month has 5 Tuesdays, then either an extra round, or a separate quick chess tournament on the 5th Tuesday. Typically November and December are combined to make a 6 round tournament, with no play on the Tuesday near the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Registration is from 6:30 to 7:15pm each week. Entry fee for DCC members is $6 per week or $20 per month. Entry fee for non members is $8 or $30. DCC memberships are available for $40 per year or $25 for 6 months. Spectators and causal players are welcome at no charge. Usually each week, Life Master and 7 time state champion, Brian Wall, or another high rated player, will give a chess related lecture from 6:45pm till the start of the rated games at 7:30pm. This feature of the DCC is sure to be entertaining and is free and open to all. In advance, thank you for your attendance.
